Facing Fear; Finding Faith
There is a sense of anxiety rampant in our world. This retreat looks at women of faith in a variety of circumstances and tries to learn something from their stories. We will look at women from scripture whose lives included the facing of fear and tapping into faith/trust in God that allowed them not only to survive but to confront the powers that be and make their point.
Keynote Speaker: Rev. Sarah Henrich
Rev. Sarah Henrich retired in 2014 after spending over 2 decades teaching New Testament & Greek (among other things) at Lutheran Seminary. Since then she has served as an interim pastor at Westminster Presbyterian in Minneapolis and Lutheran Church of Peace in Maplewood. She is currently interim pastor at Atonement Lutheran Church in New Brighton. Sarah has continued to teach as an adjunct at Luther and Augsberg University.
For the past 17 years, Sarah has served as a docent at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. She loves to travel (anyone want to bike the Rhine River??), quilt, cook, read and share family time with her husband John, their 2 sons Adam and Daniel and their wives.
