If you booked a lodge that requires a card on file (Leaning Tree, Eagle, Carriage), you'll only be charged if damage occurred during your stay. There's no pre-authorization hold on the credit card. This applies to public rate bookings only (not ownership groups).

Clearwater Forest has 14 days after your stay to assess the property. Charges for incidentals include property damage, excessive cleaning, returning forgotten items, or damage from undeclared pets and guests.

If any excessive charges are incurred, we'll send you an email with a description of the damage, and the amount you’ll be charged. We'll apply the charge to your booking and send you a receipt via email.

Named after the iconic tree that has been leaning over Clearwater Lake for many years, this wood-sided lodge is the perfect space for family reunions, weddings, conferences and retreats of all sizes.

The 3-story lodge can sleep 32 people in 15 guest rooms with shared bathrooms. The fully accessible main level has a meeting area with a wood-burning fireplace, dining area for 32, full kitchen (see what is in the kitchen), and terrace overlooking Clearwater Lake. The main meeting area includes a keyboard, games and TV with DVD player. There is a second common area, also with a fireplace, piano and refrigerator on the lowest level that walks out to a shared beach (for camp guests only).

Guests have access to a canoe, paddle boats, four sit-on-top kayaks (life jackets are provided) and the beach. The boats are first come first serve to all camp guests.

  • The water usually turns off in the middle of the night. Please do not be alarmed. Please call your contact if the water does not return by 6 AM.
• Multiple Kitchen Outlets/Circuits

  • If you plan to use both griddles and ANY other kitchen electronics, please separate them on separate circuits. Each griddle uses 12.5  amps (each circuit is 20 amp breaker). Please use the black extension cord and plug it into the outlet below the counter on the living room side. Do NOT plug them into the microwave or coffee circuit, as they will blow the circuit! If you have a third or fourth kitchen appliance, be sure to use other areas of the building.
